Very honest and mature self assessment. Clearly, 2019 was a year that resulted in some ‘burnout’ for him, but, he seems intelligent enough to adjust and adapt to his roles as captain of the test squad and key bowling allrounder in ODIs. With Russell and DJ Bravo back in the t20 mix, Jason may be surplus to requirements in that format which could be a blessing in disguise for him. Best wishes to him !

The thing is, I believed you were a better player when you were captain.
However, you were a very poor captain. You had no individuality as a leader. You lead more by consensus, rather than your own decision making skills.

I believe you should stick it out, learn from Pollard, who is a very good leader, and you’ll return a better captain in the near future!
